Investigation of Scalar Modulation Instability in the Presence of Raman Scattering in Photonic Crystal Fibers
In this paper, by including Raman scattering in the coupled-mode equations, the scalar modulation instability in photonic crystal fibers is investigated. The evolution of the pump, Stokes and anti-Stokes waves along the fiber as well as the conversion efficiency for two cases, with and without Raman effect, are studied. The effect of anti-Stokes seed and the pump depletion on the evolution of S...
متن کاملHow Does the Relocation of Internal Water Affect Resonance Raman Spectra of Rhodopsin? An Insight from CASSCF/Amber Calculations.
The effect of relocation of the W2 crystallographic water in bovine rhodopsin has been investigated by comparing and analyzing simulated resonance Raman spectra of 1HZX- and 1U19-based quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics (CASSCF/MM) models. The main target is to explore the sensitivity of the simulated resonance Raman spectra to protein cavity change. In particular, we focus on a quantitative...
متن کاملoptimization of electron raman scattering in double rectangular quantum wells
in this work, by using the particle swarm optimization the electron raman scattering for square double quantum wells is optimized. for this purpose, by combining the particle swarm algorithm together with the numerical solution procedures for equations, and also the perturbation theory we find the optimal structure that maximizes the electron raman scattering. application of this algorithm to t...
متن کاملFT-Raman Spectra of Saffron (Crocus Stivus L.); A Possible Method for Standardization of Saffron
FT-Raman Spectra of Saffron (crocus sativus L.) with a partial assignment is reported. Based on the Raman data, it is concluded that main pigments in saffron are crocins and crocetin. It is proposed that the quickly attainable FT-Raman spectrum of solid saffron, may be used as a means of saffron standardization.
متن کاملRaman-scattering spectra of elementary electronic excitations in coupled double-quantum-well structures.
Using the time-dependent-local-density-approximation (TDLDA) within a self-consistent linear response theory, we calculate the elementary excitation energies and the associated inelastic light scattering spectra of a strongly coupled two-component plasma in a double quantum well system with electron occupation of symmetric and antisymmetric subbands. We find, consistent with the results of a re...
